Inside the Digital Clinical Practice Environment™

JVN Negotiation Chamber™

Sit across the table from an AI that thinks. It opens warm or cold, probes for weakness, shifts strategy when its first move fails, and hides its real interest until you ask the right question. Negotiate the deal. Write the settlement.

How to use this environment

How to negotiate in the Chamber

You will represent a client across the table from an AI counterpart. The Chamber tests whether you can create value, protect interests, and close under pressure.

  1. 1
    Prepare your brief

Read the mandate, mapping interests, BATNA, ZOPA and red lines before you sit down.

  2. 2
    Open the Chamber

Set tone, exchange positions, and probe the AI counterpart's underlying interests.

  3. 3
    Bargain and trade

Move packages, not points. Handle deadlock, anchoring and emotional escalation in real time.

  4. 4
    Close and reflect

Draft heads of terms, then debrief with your AI supervisor against negotiation competencies.

How the Chamber works

Four operating principles shape every chamber. Master them and the AI counterpart will move with you. Miss them and the AI will close the Chamber on its own terms.

Interests, not positions

Every chamber rewards learners who name the interest behind each demand — and penalises positional ping-pong.

Adaptive counterparts

The AI changes strategy mid-session: softens, hardens, introduces deadlines, links unrelated issues. Read the shift; do not be read by it.

Principled trades

Use objective standards, multiple variables, and face-saving language. Concession without reciprocity is graded as a loss.

Settlement report

Every session ends with a structured settlement report — terms agreed, terms parked, interests served, risks accepted.
